The mountain hotel at an elevation of 1,512 meters offers single, double, and quadruple rooms, as well as a rustic-luxurious dormitory. There is no excess here, just natural wood and minimalism.

At Altes Wallberghaus, deceleration is not a longing but a way of life. Because the world here is steep, it offers the kind of resistance that doesn't exist in the lowlands and provides a reason for togetherness.

One doesn't need much for daily happiness. Unobstructed views, fresh air, good food, and sharing interesting experiences in a beautiful place. It's all quite simple.

From the lower station of the Wallbergbahn

You arrive at the Berghotel Altes Wallberghaus after a two and a half hours walk from the lower station of the Wallbergbahn cable railway. 

Altitude: From the parking place approx. 720 hm

Walking Distance: 2,5 hours
Equipment: Hiking Gear, solid Shoes

From the mountain station of the Wallbergbahn

You arrive at the Berghotel Altes Wallberghaus after an approx. 15 minutes short walk from the mountain station of the Wallbergbahn cable railway.

daily from 8.45 am to 4.30 pm

    After the ascent or a hiking tour around the mountain hotel, replenish yourself on the sunny terrace or in our cosy parlours. We serve tasty soups, salads, various Bavarian delicacies as well as our delicious Kaiserschmarrn or fresh cakes. The restaurant is open from Wednesday to Sunday and from 10 am to 3.30 pm. It is closed on Monday and on Tuesday.

    Experience the charming, romantic atmosphere of spending the night on top of the mountains with an overnight stay in our Mountain Lodge Hotel Altes Wallberghaus. The Mountain Lodge Hotel features various rooms, from four bed to double rooms, as well as a dormitory. The delicious breakfast and a rustic 3-course dinner are included in the price.
